Scotty Moore

Born: Winfield Scott Moore, born December 27, 1931 in Gadsden, TN
Career: Elvis’ lead guitarist, played on Elvis’ first recordings at Sun records in 1954, played on all Elvis’ first recording at RCA in 1956. Scotty Moore’s guitar work was the sound behind Elvis that most surely helped to make Elvis famous. It is impossible to measure the influence Scotty Moore and his Guitar had on Elvis and his place in Rock n Roll history.
Current Status: Still performs, lives in Nashville.
